Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden has refused to undergo analysis for potential stimulants ahead of the first televised debate with United States President Donald Trump, who used that refusal to re-enter his rival To draw doubts.
Trump has repeatedly asked Biden about his age and mental agility, even suggesting that he might have senile dementia even though he’s only three years older. On several occasions, he has hinted that the former vice president is taking medication to improve his interventions.
“I will strongly demand that Joe ‘Sleepy’ Biden be subjected to a drug test before or after the debate on Tuesday evening,” Trump said on the weekend before the first personal television between the two candidates as president.
Biden was asked if he would accept the proposal. “No, I have no comment,” he replied with a laugh to questions from journalists, hours after Trump’s proposal.
“Joe Biden has just announced that he will not accept a drug test. Wow, I wonder why?” The president said on his Twitter account this Monday, again sowing doubts about his political rival’s ability.
