Belgium will apply for mandatory quarantine for tourists returning from destinations classified as “high risk” within the European Union, since they are areas where the authorities have deteriorated due to their epidemiological situation, such as: B. the regions who have imposed detention measures in Lleida and Lugo, but do not plan to limit the trip to any of them for fear of the corona virus.

The quarantine is “mandatory” or “voluntary” depending on the level of restrictions in the area to which it has traveled. Monitoring depends on the public health service and the Belgian regional authorities and is based on information from the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but is adapted to a new color code.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already set up a traffic light system to explain the situation in the various countries in the Schengen area.
