A total of 7,207 people have died from the consequences of the corona virus in Belgium and 46,687 infections have been confirmed in the laboratory since the pandemic occurred in the country. This emerges from the last balance offered by the public health service on Monday.
113 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, 60 in hospital centers and the rest in dormitories. In addition, 127 people were hospitalized for their coronavirus infection, the lowest number since March 18.
Of the total deaths, 46 percent of the cases occurred in hospitals, while the rest were registered in nursing homes and special treatment, so many of them are “suspicious” cases of Covid-19, but they have not been confirmed by testing.
The situation in hospitals remains stable without the benefits collapsing. A total of 3,968 patients were admitted, 903 in the intensive care unit, 600 of whom, according to official information, require ventilation support for breathing.
