Beijing partially closes the capital after the last outbreak and increases the health emergency to the second level

The Beijing authorities announced Tuesday that the city would be partially closed after 31 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the capital, related to the recent outbreak of the wholesale market in Xinfadi, Fengtai District. in the southwest of the city and have raised the health emergency number to the second level.

The Beijing City government’s deputy general secretary, Chen Bei, announced this Tuesday night at a television conference reported by the South China Morning Post newspaper that the immediate closure of all neighborhoods they were classified as high and medium risk and all of their Residents must be quarantined.

Hours earlier, the authorities had ordered all schools in the Chinese capital to be closed, taxis and VTC vehicles restricted to within the city, and bus lines from nearby provinces to be closed.
