Beijing has recorded the lowest number of people infected in one of its markets since the outbreak began

The Chinese Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the occurrence of three new cases of COVID-19, all in Beijing, which have amassed 331 cases since June 11, when the new wave of infections was registered in one of them. The main wholesale markets are the capital however the lowest since then.

There was no death from COVID-19 during Tuesday, leaving the number of deaths at 4,634 for one day, while the number of confirmed cases in the country has increased to 83,534. A total of 78,479 patients managed to overcome the disease after the last ten were discharged.

In return, 421 patients continue to receive medical help, seven of them in severe condition. Without new cases from abroad, the number of imported infections remains at 1,918, of which 1,839 left the hospital after recovery, although 79 other people are still in the hospital.

Chinese authorities have reported that 6,479 people who have had close contact with a COVID-19 patient are still under medical supervision, while 703 left the hospital on Tuesday.
