We are in times of global care for the coronavirus pandemic and many companies are doing their part. An example is Bacardi who this week announced that he will join the Olein Refinery company to supply him with ethanol to help him produce antibacterial gel for Puerto Rico.
The famous distillery decided to imitate brands like Dior and will support the manufacture of 1.7 million 10-ounce units of hand sanitizer that will be donated to local communities.
“With 70% alcohol, our products meet the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) to contain the spread of the virus,” the brand said in a statement. Bacardi also reported that this change in production “started on March 17 and will continue as long as necessary.”
The brand also stressed that this alliance will not disrupt production or affect the supply of rum.
