Azerbaijan extends the coronavirus quarantine until August 31

The Azerbaijani government announced this Friday that it will extend the quarantine imposed on the population due to the progression of the coronavirus until August 31.

Stricter quarantine has been established in some regions, such as in the case of Baku, the capital, Ganja, Sumgait and eleven other cities and regions, although some activities are expected to resume, according to the Azerbaijani news agency Turan.

From July 20 to August 5, hairdressers, beauty salons and cosmetic services will be reopened to the public, with the exception of massage centers and baths with special permits.

To date, the Azerbaijani authorities have confirmed 26,636 coronavirus cases and 341 deaths from the same cause.
