At least three people, including a four-year-old boy, died in a severe storm in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia this Friday.
With wind speeds of up to 158 kilometers per hour, the storm caused damage throughout the state, where, according to the Herald Sun, it caused power outages in around 95,000 households.
The deaths were recorded in various suburbs of the state capital, a city currently affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The four-year-old boy died of an injury after falling from a tree in Blackburn South. The other victims with a 59-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.
The government has also warned that the storm has contaminated drinking water in 88 districts, while state emergency services have received more than 2,100 calls since Thursday.
