At least three people have died and 19 others were injured in the collapse of a building under repair in the Kashmir region of Pakistan near the Indian border. Security sources have reported this to the Geo TV network.
The event happened on Friday in Mirpur (in Azad Kashmir, the official name of the Pakistani part of the disputed area), when a group of workers repaired the three-story building with a wedding hall.
The collapse caught 50 people under the rubble. On Friday, the emergency services managed to keep a dozen alive. Nine others were saved this Saturday.
Among the three deceased are the building owner and his son. The rescue efforts are still ongoing.
