Mexican authorities reported this Tuesday that 13 people died after a bus hit a guardrail and overturned on a highway in the center of the country.
Five women, five men and three children are among the fatalities, although another 24 people were injured, according to the newspaper ‘La Jornada’.
The incident happened on a winding road near La Escondida on the Toluca Highway, 38 kilometers from Mexico City. Police have indicated that the accident could be due to speeding in the middle of fog and rain.
