At least seven Afghan police officers have died and another 16 were injured in a car bomb explosion outside a security facility in Ghazni province in the east of the country, the Interior Ministry reported this Sunday.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian reported that the attack took place on Saturday around 7.45 p.m. local time in the Kutal al Rawza district of Ghazni city.
Arian has said that after the car bomb explosion, a group of armed men tried to enter the facilities, but security forces prevented them in a long confrontation.
As a result, seven police officers died and 16 were injured and had to be flown to Kabul. According to the television station Tolo, three of the injured are serious, Arian has explained in detail.
