At least four people were killed in a mining accident in Vorkuta in the far north of Russia on the Arctic Circle.
Their bodies were found buried under rubble after an accident caused by a broken conveyor belt, Russian news agency TASS reported.
Investigations are now planned to determine what caused the accident. After the initial investigations, the authorities suspect that the safety regulations have not been properly observed.
According to the agency, no other miners were present at the time of the accident.
