At least four dead and six injured in a fire in a foreigner accommodation in Chile

At least four people, including two children, have died and six others were injured in a fire at a foreigners’ shelter in the Talca community in central Chile.

The public prosecutor’s office has ordered the initiation of an investigation into the incident to the criminological laboratory of the Carabineros de Chile (LABOCAR) as well as the investigative police in order to clarify the situation of the migrants remaining in the home, the Chilean newspaper points out to ‘Third Party’.

The Talca fire brigade, which confirmed the death of the four people, worked “very quickly” to bring the fire under control, which unfortunately spread quickly because it was “very old”, explained the second in command, Francisco Iturra.
