At least eight killed by security forces shooting at protesters in southern Iraq

BAGDAD, Nov. 28 (Reuters / EP) –

At least eight protesters have died earlier this Thursday in the city of Nasiriyah, in southern Iraq, after security forces opened fire on an anti-government protest, medical sources have reported.

The intervention of the security forces has caused injuries to 22 other people, according to the same medical officials, who has assured that the agents have opened fire on the protesters before dawn this Thursday.
