At least 40 people were injured in a car bomb attack near the National Security Directorate’s (NDS) agency in a city in northern Afghanistan, local authorities said.
The attack took place in the city of Aybak, the capital of Samangan province. After the explosion, which took place around 11 a.m., there was a gunfight Tolo News, according to the spokesman for the provincial governor quoted by Mohamad Sediq Azizi.
According to the head of the Provincial Health Department, Abdul Jalil Musadiq, at least 43 people, including three children and a woman, were hospitalized after the explosion.
