At least 16 dead in plane crash in western Russia

At least 16 people died in the crash of a parachutist with 23 people on board this Sunday in the Russian city of Menzelinsk in the west of the country, according to the region’s emergency services.

According to official information from the official Russian news agency Sputnik, the two pilots of the plane would have been killed in the accident and seven people have currently been rescued.

The device was identified as a twin-engine Let L-410, which crashed near the city in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan at around 9:00 a.m.
