At least 10 killed and 117 injured when a gasoline truck exploded on a highway in eastern China

Police sources say at least 10 people have died and 117 others injured when a gasoline truck detonated at the exit of a highway in eastern China.

The incident occurred in Wenling, Zhejiang Province this afternoon. After initial investigations, the truck first exploded and its remains were thrown off the highway and collided with several vehicles on the road.

The explosion, which also caused significant material damage to the houses at the exit of the street, caused a major fire, according to the Chinese news portal ‘Global Times’, which forced dozens of firefighters to intervene.
