The worldwide spread of the coronavirus continues to harm the entertainment industry: its arrival led to the suspension of classes and daily activities, but also the cancellation of the enormous variety of concerts that were expected in the coming months of the year. As a consequence, Ticketmaster and the other ticket offices are being affected among so many canceled shows. That is why they have recently changed their policies without notifying anyone, so they no longer allow refunds for events postponed following COVID-19 .

The largest ticket office in the country and the world made these changes without prior notice, and quietly made changes to its refund policy for events that underwent some kind of change in the wake of the global crisis.

Previously on the official Ticketmaster United States website , customers would be offered refunds for all events that were canceled, postponed, or rescheduled. However, the new policy now only offers whoever requests it a refund if the show was canceled, so concerts and events that have already been postponed and rescheduled cannot request a refund of your ticket money.

The Ticketmaster United States refund policy page has also been updated. Previously, this showed that refunds would be available for any postponed, rescheduled, or canceled show:

Now, the text has been modifying, so it only details that refunds are available for canceled events:

In this situation, Ticketmaster has not yet made any announcement in this regard.

Fortunately, in Mexico, the refund policy for any event remains intact, so you can still receive your money back in case your event has changed in date. However, it is recommended that if you are looking for the refund of your postponed event, you access the Ticketmaster page as soon as possible, since it is not known if in the future they may make the same change to their policy in our country.
