The company of Airports and emergency services ((HANDLE) provided the sale and delivery of fuel on credit to the representative of ABC Aerolíneas, better known as Interjet. This is due to the millionaire’s debt (1,191 million pesos according to Forbes) that the airline’s representative, Impulsora de Productos Sustentables, has with the company.

According to information from ASA, “Impulsora de Productos Sustentables will cease its aviation fuel supply on April 3, 2020.” Because of this, Interjet had to pay for fuel before using it and has also canceled numerous flights in the country affecting various users.

According to a report by the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office, “In addition to the problems the Interjet airline is facing in its operations, it has 3,368 complaints before Profeco,” which will run from January 1, 2019 to October 30. 2020.

The main claims include the cancellation and delay of flights and damage to or loss of users’ luggage. For this reason, since the middle of last year Profeco has invited affected users to publish their complaints and reports over the consumer’s phone.

It’s worth noting that these aren’t the only issues the airline has faced. Former employees recently filed 50 lawsuits because many were dismissed from their positions in March and have not yet been settled.
