Around 400 German expatriates and their families return to China to resume their work

Around 400 managers and expats from German companies and their families returned to China on charter flights with special permission to resume the work and production of the Asian giant.

As the ARD reports, a first flight with 200 passengers recently arrived in Tianjin east of Beijing, and a second flight will arrive in Shanghai on June 4.

These flights are organized by the German Chamber of Commerce in China in cooperation with the German diplomatic missions in China and with Lufthansa.

These are the first return flights of German citizens to China since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, which, according to official figures, killed more than 365,000 people and infected nearly six million people.
