Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian said on Friday that the conflict with Azerbaijan “has no military solution” and stressed that “peaceful negotiations have no alternative”.
Pashinian stressed that Azerbaijan “will not be able to break the determination of the Armenian people and force them to make unreasonable and unilateral concessions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” the Armenian news agency Armenpress said.
He accused Baku of “launching military operations on the northeastern border of Armenia despite the coronavirus pandemic,” adding that “the Armenian armed forces had to respond to Azerbaijan’s provocative actions.”
The Armenian Prime Minister has also stressed that these “provocations” of the Azerbaijani army are ongoing and warns that they will help to increase the “tension” and “unpredictability” of the situation in the border area. The most recent fights took place hundreds of kilometers from the controversial Nagorno-Karabakh region.
