president Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed the death of the Yucatec singer-songwriter this morning Armando Manzanero this Monday, December 28th. The composer was 86 years old and had been hospitalized for two weeks for COVID-19.

On Sunday, Armando Manzanero’s family reported his recovery, which appeared favorable, and his extubation was expected in the next few days.
