Argentina overcomes the barrier of 100,000 coronavirus cases with more than 2,600 new infections

The Argentine Ministry of Health reported this Sunday that the country has broken the barrier of 100,000 coronavirus cases with 2,657 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Health officials have reported that the total number of people affected by the pandemic in the country has reached 100,166, while adding 35 more deaths on Sunday, bringing the number of deaths to 1845.

In addition, they indicated that 41,408 people have recovered after passing COVID-19. The Argentine ministry has reported that 456,042 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been performed since the pandemic started.

However, authorities have drawn attention to the increase in new pandemic outbreaks last week in the least affected viral provinces, which the Argentine agency Télam has already taken to defuse the population.

The area most affected by the pandemic in Argentina is concentrated in the state capital, Buenos Aires. The capital added 38,335 infections and 682 by Sunday, while the province of Buenos Aires registered a total of 53,661 positive and 901 deaths.
