The Argentine Ministry of Health this Tuesday confirmed 259 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19), meaning 8,919 people have died in the country since the pandemic began, leaving 428,239 accumulated cases to date. diagnosed after the last 10,504.
Health officials added that 308,376 people managed to overcome the disease, although there are another 2,314 who continue to be admitted to intensive care units.
The metropolitan area of Buenos Aires monopolizes almost all confirmed cases in the country, particularly the province of Buenos Aires which has already added a total of 264,950 positive cases, representing 61.86 percent of the national level.
For its part, the City of Buenos Aires has confirmed 96,999 positive results. Instead, three other provinces follow with numbers between 8,500 and 9,000 cases: Cordoba, Santa Fe and Jujuy.
