Argentina is the fifth country with the highest number of serious cases of coronavirus

In Argentina, 3,093 people are admitted to intensive care, which means that it is already the fifth country in the world with the highest number of serious coronavirus infections, which has already left a total of 546,481 accumulated cases and 11,263 deaths.

With these figures, Argentina has 5 percent of all serious cases recorded worldwide to date, which now equates to more than 28.6 million accumulated cases, just behind the US, India, Brazil and Iran, according to La Nación newspaper.

According to the latter part of the Argentine Ministry of Health, 60.4 percent of intensive care beds nationwide are occupied, while the vacancies in the metropolitan area of ​​Buenos Aires, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, the percentage rises to 68.5 percent.
