Argentina hits 10,000 coronavirus deaths and adds more than 9,000 new cases

Argentina reached 10,000 deaths as a result of COVID-19 this Monday while diagnosing an additional 9,000 new cases of the disease.

The Argentine health authorities have said there have been 271 new deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the global death toll to 10,129.

Regarding the cases, the balance offered by the Ministry of Health of the Latin American country shows that 9,215 new positive results have been noted, so the cumulative total has reached 488,007, according to the Télam news agency.

Of the people with COVID-19 identified this Monday, 62 percent (5,722) correspond to the city and province of Buenos Aires, the focus of the pandemic in Argentina.
