Argentina extends quarantine until August 2nd to “return to normal life”

Argentine President Alberto Fernández announced this Friday that current quarantine will continue until at least August 2, although he has indicated that this new phase is already a de-escalation to “try to return to normal life”.

Argentina, which added another 3,624 cases and 62 deaths to a total of 114,783 infected and 2,112 deceased in the past few hours, began a national quarantine on March 20, which was extended.

The last extension, which was ordered on June 26, held the detention until at least July 18, so Fernández should appear on Friday to announce the next step.
