The Argentine Ministry of Health this Monday reported the record number of 429 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the disease to 13,482 deaths and 640,147 accumulated cases.
Of the 429 deaths confirmed this Monday, at least 200 occurred a month ago, while another 146 occurred in July. Authorities have also reported 8,782 new infections, while the number of recovered infections has increased to 508,563.
At the national level, hospital occupancy in intensive care units remains at 60.3 percent, while that in the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires has fallen slightly to 65.5 percent.
The Province of Buenos Aires with 371,980 accumulated cases and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires with 117,952 cases are the regions hardest hit by the new coronavirus, well ahead of the third worst area, Santa Fe, with 27,710 confirmed positive results.
