The decree, published in the Official Gazette this Saturday, provides a benefit of 15,000 pesos (around 200 euros) for relatives of victims who were unemployed or who withdrew non-taxable money.

The decree states that the service will be in effect as long as the person requesting it denounces death and provides evidence that they have covered the funeral expenses after submitting proof of expenses issued by the funeral home that provided the service , was issued on their behalf.

Argentina, which recorded its first case of COVID-19 on March 3, confirmed 235,677 infections this Saturday, of which 108,242 have recovered and 4,450 have died.
