The Argentine Ministry of Health has reported that 62 deaths and 3,624 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country in the past 24 hours, resulting in a total of 2,112 deaths and 114,783 infections since the pandemic started.
The ministry’s recent balance, collected by the Télam agency, said that 793 people were admitted to intensive care units, with the percentage of adult beds occupying 53.9% in the country and 64% in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. Aires (AMBA).
93.80% (3,399 people) of those infected in the past few hours correspond to the city and province of Buenos Aires.
Given the situation, President Alberto Fernández, Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof, and Buenos Aires Prime Minister Horacio Rodríguez Larreta will announce this Friday the details of the new phase of social isolation that will begin next Saturday.
Basically, the announcement will not differ too much from the last message recorded on June 26th, in which strict quarantine in the AMBA and the cities of Resistencia, General Roca and Neuquén, and mandatory social distancing in the rest of the country.
