Apple acknowledges that it will not meet revenue targets for the coronavirus

This Monday, February 17, Apple admitted and announced through a statement that it will not reach the expected earnings for this quarter. The reason? The Covid-19 outbreak , better known as coronavirus, has caused a production cut and low demand for equipment in China.

The technology company expected to earn revenue between 63 thousand and 67 billion dollars for this period, however, they stressed that they did not think they would reach the expected results for the March quarter. They also announced that the results would be announced in the month of April.

Apple forecasts a shortage of supplies worldwide so the company will be temporarily limited since although all its plants in the Asian country have been reopened, they are reactivating slower than expected. In addition, its market in China has been affected as many of its associated stores remain closed.

The apple firm stressed that its priority is the health and safety of its workers, partners and customers.
