Another 87 people die in France, while the number of patients in the intensive care unit is less than a thousand

The French Ministry of Health reported Tuesday that 87 more people had died from COVID-19 on the last day. This brings the number of deaths in the country to 29,296 since the pandemic began.

A total of 18,912 deaths were found in the country’s hospitals and health centers, 53 more than the previous day, while another 10,384 people died in nursing homes and day centers, 34 more than on Monday.

The authorities have highlighted that the number of patients admitted to the intensive care unit, which is gradually decreasing, is already below a thousand. This left 955 in these units, 69 fewer than yesterday, although 15 other people had to be brought to the intensive care unit.

The number of people admitted to hospital due to COVID-19 is 11,961, 354 fewer than the previous day, although 169 new admissions have been registered in the last 24 hours.
