MADRID, Jan. 8 (EUROPE PRESS) –
A head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has assured the Tasnim news agency that Iranian ballistic missile attacks on two military bases that house US forces in Iraq have killed at least 80 US military.
“At least 104 objectives of the positions of the Americans and their allies in the region have been identified and if the Americans make a mistake again, those positions will be attacked,” said the head consulted by the Iranian news agency.
The head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has said that the attacks with Iranian ballistic missiles against the Iraqi bases of Ain al Assad and Erbil have caused serious damage to drones and helicopters in the United States.
The same source has indicated that fifteen missiles have hit the air base of Ain al Assad, without any of the projectiles being intercepted by US radar systems. The Iranian official has said that the efficiency and destructive capacity of the missiles have been so high that several of the projectiles have destroyed several targets simultaneously.
The United States Government has not reported possible damage caused by attacks with Iranian ballistic missiles or the balance of injuries or fatalities in the US military contingent in Iraq.
The ballistic missile attack on two military bases with US troops in Iraq has come as a response from the Islamic Republic to the aerial attack of a drone that ended the life of General Qasem Soleimani at the Baghdad airport on January 3.
