An explosion in an ammunition dump in the Jordanian city of Zarqa is recorded
The city of Zarqa, Jordan, was rocked this Friday by an explosion in an army ammunition dump with no known fatalities or injuries.
Jordanian information minister Amjad Odé al Adailé has confirmed the incident and stated that the facility is storing mortar shells, according to the Jordanian news agency Petra.
The army has cordoned off the area, a remote and uninhabited area of Zarqa, while several civil protection teams fight the fire that started following the explosion that was heard 30 kilometers away. Sky News Arabia broadcast it.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit caused the explosion. The Army has asked citizens to avoid spreading “false information” to ensure the details are provided “later”.
