Almost thirty infected with a coronavirus outbreak in a slaughterhouse in Austria

At least 29 workers in a slaughterhouse in the Austrian city of Eggenburg near the border with the Czech Republic have tested positive for COVID-19 in a new outbreak of the coronavirus.

The health authorities of the State of Lower Austria have currently confirmed these 29 positive results, although there are dozens of outstanding results among the workers at this slaughterhouse, for which they have quarantined the more than 240 employees.

After the outbreak in June, Austria decided to carry out massive diagnostic tests among workers in the country’s meat industry, in which around 1,400 people were infected, in a slaughterhouse in neighboring Germany.
