Algeria extends the curfew in 15 provinces of the country for 15 days due to the corona virus

Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad has extended the curfew for another 15 days this Sunday due to the progression of the corona virus in 29 provinces of the country.

As the Algerian government reports in a statement, the curfew is set from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (local time) to avoid further infection.

In particular, the affected provinces are Adrar, Chlef, Laghouat, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Bejaia, Biskra, Béchar, Blida, Bouira, Alger, Djelfa, Sétif, Sidi Bel Abbes, Annaba, Constantina, Médéa, M’Sila, Mascara, Ouargla , Oran, Bordj Bou Arréridj, Bumerdés, Tissemsilt, El Oued, Jenchela, Souk Ahras, Tipasa and Relizane.

The government has left open the possibility that the timelines and measures imposed in some municipalities will change as progress is made.
