AI warns of lack of government protection for coronavirus health workers

The NGO Amnesty International (AI) this Monday highlighted the lack of protection governments are offering to health workers affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Governments must be held accountable for the deaths of health workers who have not protected them from COVID-19,” the organization said after presenting its latest report on the situation of these professionals.

According to their data, at least 3,000 toilets have died from the coronavirus in 79 countries around the world, although they have claimed that this is a number that is actually much higher.
