Thousands of people took to the streets in 305 cities in Brazil this Saturday to protest against President Jair Bolsonaro, who was appointed by nine left-wing parties.
The demands of the protest include the economic crisis, inflation and unemployment as well as criticism of the denial of the pandemic and Bolsonaro’s attacks on the separation of powers. Under the banners there are messages like “Get out with Bolsonaro” or “Get out with genocide”.
They are also trying to pressure the Chamber of Deputies President Arthur Lira (Progresistas-AL), an ally of Bolsonaro, to accept any of the 131 impeachment or impeachment motions against Bolsonaro.
