As a result of the pandemic LinkedIn and Microsoft announced a free training strategy to counter the spike in unemployment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project, known as “Skilling” by Microsoft and LinkedIn, consists of 500 free online courses offered through LinkedIn Learning. It also provides access to the graphical representations of the capabilities of the social network, where users can see data about which skills and which professions are currently most in demand in the market.
The strategy aims to help people acquire the technological skills necessary to fill the jobs of the future.
The social network had already published an annual report highlighting which jobs will be most needed in the future, including:
Specialist in customer success
Development and production engineer
Commercial sales manager
Engineer with a full stack.
