A letter bomb has exploded this Thursday in offices of the ING bank in Amsterdam, within the framework of a chain of shipments that adds four explosive devices in just two days.
Police have confirmed on Twitter the outbreak of the last letter in an office building on Bijlmerdreef Street. The incident has taken place at the headquarters of ING, when an employee opened the package, according to sources cited by the state chain NOS.
A person has been treated for smoke inhalation, explained the Police, who confirmed the sending of an ambulance to the area as a precaution. A team of explosives experts has also moved to the site to analyze the material.
Also on Thursday another artifact was located in Utrecht, deactivated before it could explode, while on Wednesday two other similar incidents took place in Amsterdam and Kerkrade. According to the media, the letters claim the payment of money in bitcoins.
