When the quarantine passes, surely many people will gather to hug, kiss and, of course, toast with a beer . And what better than to do it with Coronavirus beer . No, it is not a joke or a confusion of the Americans, it is something real.
According to the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) , a person from Real del Monte , Hidalgo , registered Coronavirus as the name of his beer. This is Isaac Palafox Hernández, president of the Regulatory Council of Real del Monte-Cornwall.
According to the agency, the registration of the trademark had a cost of 2,813 pesos and for this it required the services of the lawyer Arturo Chaim. The process started on March 9 , an early date for the visionary businessman.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the year hundreds of Americans thought that the origin of the virus was Corona beer of Mexican origin.
Something similar has happened in other countries, such is the case of Spain. According to the newspaper El País , during the crisis, at least six requests have been made for trademark registrations linked to COVID-19 . An example of these is the record of the phrase “ I survived the coronavirus ” for a brand of t-shirt.
