One civilian has died and another was seriously injured after two explosions this Saturday in the Naher Aisha district in Damascus, the Syrian capital.
The deflagrations occurred on Saturday afternoon near a kiosk and the Anas bin Malek mosque, according to the official Syrian news agency SANA.
The wounded was taken to Damascus Hospital for treatment. The explosions also caused property damage at the location of the explosion.
Since 2011, Syria has been in a bloody internal war between forces loyal to President Bashar al Assad and rebel militias. Insurgent forces are currently being held in the Idlib province bordering Turkey, and fighting and attacks are becoming increasingly rare.
