A Berlin court will prosecute 25 participants in the demonstrations of violence on May 1

25 people will appear in court this Saturday to respond to their actions during the violent protests in Berlin on May 1, according to the prosecutor’s office in the German capital.

The people were arrested on suspicion of violent unrest, and some of them are related to an attack on a television team.

This incident is being investigated by a special police division dedicated to politically motivated crimes, as Berlin police chief Barbara Slowik reports.

A total of 209 people were arrested during the protests, who concentrated on Berlin and Hamburg and whose capacity was restricted by the federal government due to the coronavirus pandemic that was occurring throughout the country.
