People keep asking me how they can be more happy and they hope to hear of a magic pill or old secret that will improve theirs humor. The truth is that the secret to happiness takes work. Psychologist and author Barbara Frederickson says we need a 3: 1 ratio of positive to negative experiences in order to thrive in life. And most of us are a long way from there.

4. Be nice

Studies suggest that the mere hesitation of thinking about an act of kindness can improve your mood. You can do small things like hold the door for someone or help them carry grocery bags. Friendliness doesn’t have to be a gift of money. Indeed, caring for someone is a much enriching act of kindness. 5. Build strong relationships

Many people believe that entrepreneurs are lonely wolves who go their own way, but trust me, no one can do it alone. By that I mean that behind every successful person there are many people who help them and have helped them on their way.
