The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office reported this Friday that 23 bodies were found in a grave in the El Salto community in this Mexican state.
The prosecutor, who works with anthropological experts from the Jalisciense Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF), has said that since last Monday, they have been doing searches on a farm in the El Pedregal district.
According to a statement posted on Twitter, they managed to get “evidence” that crimes related to the “disappearance of people” were committed there.
In addition to the 23 bodies, three of which have already been identified, four bags with different indications were found. Both the bodies and the bags were handed over to the IJCF facilities to carry out the expert tests and the related work to identify the rest. The relatives of the three people identified have already been informed of the finding.
The prosecutor has determined that work in El Salto will continue until “it is guaranteed that there are no further indications.”
