A total of 18 police officers were injured this Saturday when they tried to disperse a protest in Berlin against measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
Three of the agents had to be taken to hospital for treatment, the police in the German capital reported.
Police broke into the protest, which was attended by nearly 20,000 people, and claimed that the organizers did not guarantee the safety regulations. Most of the participants did not wear a mask and did not respect the distance between the people.
The Berlin police reported that they had sent 1,100 officers to the area to control the event and disperse the crowd, forcing the organizers to leave the stage where participants were encouraged.
